BroHood

The other day I wrote about Calvin hitting on a quasi-straight guy on Greek.  I forgot to mention the best part.  Calvin went on a mini rant on how it's so hard to tell who is gay in this society with all the metrosexuals (Zac Efron; I still maintain he likes girls) and bro movies (Jason Segel; I know their are others but I think he is the best bro).

I never thought about it, but Calvin is totally right.  If I can still believe that a guy who wears his hair like Zac Efron or who wears pants like Kevin Jonas is straight, than imagine how off-kilter gadar must be.

In the pilot episode of How I Met Your Mother, there is a hilarious little bit when Barney is telling Ted that he doesn't have to wait for a signal to kiss a girl.  He demonstrates this by kissing Marshall with no warning (see, I told you Jason Segel was the best bro).  Now, it's still not totally normal for bros to kiss, but it also isn't totally outlandish.  Even though people def gasped when they saw Barney kiss Marshall, since most people watched it after NPH had already came out.

I have been going to overnight camp since pre-puberty, and I have seen the most touchy-feely guys imaginable.  They hold hands, snuggle, and occasionally (every day) shower together.  Yet, no one thinks they are gay, because it's normal for them.  How is Calvin supposed to determine who to hit on when his gadar is going off in every possible direction.

Truthfully, I think bro hood is a pretty cool advancement, because it shows people who aren't afraid to be miscontrued as gay.  Paul Rudd even talks about how he is like one step away from being completely homosexual in an interview in Entertainment Weekly. But it's gotta be hard on the Calvins of the world.

The Greekap

One time last month, I watched Greek once at 8:00 and another time at midnight and took notes the second time around.  That was the most intense I ever went for the Greekap.  Usually, I do watch the episode more than once, but the note-taking took it to a new level.  This time, I missed the Monday night showings of Greek.  Weirdly enough, I went out and semi had a life.  Very uncharacteristic.

Anyway, so I had to DVR my episode
of Greek, choosing to record it over Gossip Girl, which I plan to find online as soon as I finish writing this.  Anyway, so I watched my episode from the DVR today. After it ended, I muted it and went back to watching the season finale of Grey's Anatomy on abc.com (god I watch too much tv, but also, I'm dying to talk about this episode so IM me if you have watched it).  And as it turns out, my DVR replays whatever you watch if you don't press anything on the tv for too long. I guess I waited too long, because the episode of Greek played two more times.  And I definitely watched it a little bit.  Three times now.  That has gotta be at least a little more intense.  Especially since it ended again and it likely to start up at any minute.

Well, now that I have written this much, I am less inclined to discuss the episode.  I'm just gonna do a few short bits.

I love Calvin.  So so much.  I was so glad the writers decided to give him a new storyline, because watching him avoid Evan, sit near Rusty, and give advice on how to be gay to Rebecca.
But this week he was all interesting.  He first gave the gay advice to Rebecca and went
on his merry way.  To the gym.  Where some hot guy scammed on him.  Calvin took the
bait and went to chat up said hottie.

PS the episode just started again.

The guy complimented Calvin's pecs and kept lifting up his own shirt to show off his mild variation on a six-pack.  Anyway, to make a short story shorter, the two go out, Calvin tries to kiss, him and the guy is like whoa I'm straight.  Calvin is of course horrified and scampers.  The story could have ended there.  But instead Calvin went total baller and confronted the guy.  I would call him by his name, but I have no recollection of it.  Calvin told the guy off for leading him on when he was fully aware of what he was doing.  The guy owned up to it and it was pretty cool and admirable. The end of that storyline.

On to the Rebecca is a lesbian storyline.  She was really funny when she came out. Now she is all iffy about it.  Like "oh no, kissing girls isn't as fun as kissing boys."  But in different words.  Anway, she decided that she wasn't gay and broke it easy to the girl she was dating.  Who was like whatever, I'm used to lugs.  Which is a growing term meaning lesbian until graduation.  Greek is totally up on their cultural references.

There are only a couple of other things I want to talk about this week, even though there was a lot more  One is how Ashleigh had such a notable absence from the episode.  Casey and Rebecca going to eachother for advice was so awkward.  Which they played very well.  So again, pats on the back to all.

Other thing to mention, Cappie and Evan get back together.  Not at all corny.  It was really great actually.  They weaned us into it throughout the season, so it wasn't a total jump and they handled it really well.  Also, they rebonded in front of Dean Cameron From Ferris Bueller.

Anyway, I can't wait to see what's next, because I really want Jesse McCartney to come back and I really want to see Casey and Cappie rekindle.  Because now that Max is abroad, even though it's only for like a month, I think he is sort of a part of the past.

Later y'all!

Rockville CA

I never ended up writing a Greekap this week.  On the bright side, I'm fairly certain that no one cares.  I'll give it a quick once over anyway.  Rebecca declared that she is a lesbian and again, nobody cared.  I kinda thought that she was doing the whole she doesn't care what gender a person is thing, but alright, lesbian it is.  Um, nothing else exciting happened.

Today, I desperately wanted to write about "The Climb," because I love it
and it's on the radio all the time, but something suddenly came up (The Brady Bunch Movie reference).  I decided to continue on my quest to get into online shows.  I started with The Clark and Michael Show, then moved on to Quarterlife, starring Scott Michael Foster, or as I prefer to call him, Cappie.  But he also played Doug Wilson's gay son, Josh, on Weeds. Today I went for Josh Schwartz's new work of art, Rockville CA.

I love Josh Schwartz. He based Seth Cohen off of himself, introduced me to the wonderful world of self-aware tv, and the indulged me with Gossip Girl.  So I had to give his online show a chance.  I only watched one episode so far, but in that episode was Ashleigh's new boytoy, Fisher, from Greek.  And he wasn't playing a hot guy.  I knew he didn't have the hot guy vibe.  I like him, but he doesn't scream sex machine.

If you want someone who screams sex machine, wait an extra two minutes for Matt Cohen to show up.  Most generic Jewish name of all time?  Yes.  That and Josh Schwartz.  But it's a name I remember, because despite the fact that 90% of the people I know have very similar names, he stars as Aidan on South of Nowhere, the most interesting take on homosexuality I have ever seen. He is like insanely hot. Too hot. It's like how I feel about Sean Faris.  He is like almost too hot to look at.  But like his name, he is more of a generic kind of hot.  I could easily see him as an Abercrombie model. Just like another Josh Schwartz star, Chris Carmack.

According to IMDb, another South of Nowhere alum is coming to Rockville. Mandy Musgrave, who
plays Ashley on the N's edgiest show is set to show up somewhere along the line.  She is so pretty.  No wonder Betsy from Greek plays her sister on South of Nowhere.

Ah pretty people.  On one episode of Party Down, Ryan Hansen's character was explaining how he acts, models, and is in an "up and coming" band.  Basically
being professionally handsome someone on the show comments.  I don't find him particularly attractive, but he was a hot, popular guy on Veronica Mars (Dick Casablancas), and is apparently set to appear on Rockville CA.  I purposely chose a picture where he looks moronic, but it's actually how he looks so my not being attracted totally makes sense.  Leave the attractiveness to Matt Cohen.  And maybe to Fisher.  He isn't bad looking, just not totally hot.

I didn't see any other names on the list, but hey, I didn't know Fisher's real name either, so it's very likely that more of my TV pals will show up along the way.  And I'm sure to report it.

Check it out if you want.  But don't if you don't want to, because that's dumb.

Lil Bit o Greek

The title has nothing to do with what I'm about to write, except that I have been thinking about that since I started writing my Greekaps.

I only finished the episode a few seconds ago.  I haven't even gotten to scenes for next week yet.  But I wanted to start immediately because they made one of my favorite jokes yet.

Here it goes:

Rusty: I kissed Jordan.
Cappie: Who? Michael Jordan?  Jordan Knight?  Jordan Catalano.  Don't tell me that you kissed Andy's Jordan.
Rusty: I wish that I kissed Michael Jordan.  No it was Andy's Jordan.

I'll put up the rest of the Greekap tomorrow.  I just couldn't hold in my joy over that exchange for another second.  Especially because I wish I kissed Jordan Catalano.

The Wedding Greekap

Rebecca kissed a girl and started thinking that she might want to swing the other way. That was a twist I didn't see coming, but I thought it worked.  There is no guy that ever really made her happy and she seemed to be really into the new girl.  That Cappie is into also.  I think they are going to keep going with that angle, because it's kind of cool. Lesbian Rebecca is a character that I could enjoy.

Max totally freaked me out though.  The proposal seemed imminent.  I have no idea why he would want to lavalier Casey, since he isn't Greek.  I mean he isn't in the Greek system.  He was Greek in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.  Like, when Evan lavaliered Casey, they had a whole dramatic ceremony with all of Omega Chi present.  And then he gave Casey his house letters.  Max just gave Casey the ZBZ letters.  I totally don't get it. How did he even get those letters?  I also don't get why the ZBZ girls and Frannie weren't more freaked out about the Max turning down a full scholarship at his dream school for Casey.  Ashleigh was freaked out, and that's maybe why I love her. But she was annoying this week.

Rusty was actually cute this week, but Jordan keeps getting worse and worse.  She just kept leading Rusty on, while he tried to stay cool about it.  She asked him to be her date to a wedding, kissed him on the cheek, gave him a lean in, before running away, and then got even worse.  She made some lame line about how she decided whether or not eternal happiness in heaven is worth temporary bliss on Earth.  And proceded to kiss Rusty.  And then run away again.  Um, I thought she decided whether or not it was worth the risk.  She needs to make up her mind and stop destroying Rusty in the process.  It's not like she even calls Jesse McCartney her boyfriend.  She just calls him "the Kappa Tau Pledge I'm Dating."  So it can't reeeally be cheating.  Rusty would probably be the only one in the wrong had he put the moves on Jordan, but he didn't. She kissed him and now I'm mad.

I think I'm just mad because I was frustrated with the episode.  Jordan was dumb.  And I hate when Dale isn't around because he mixes things up.  And I am anxiously awaiting a new Calvin storyline, because he hasn't had much to do this season.  I think I need to write more posts other than just the Greekaps.  I want to write about Taylor Swift's new music videos because they are awesome and I want to talk about how mad I am that my sister has free passes to the Eric Hutchinson concert on Thursday and isn't taking me.  All in due time.  Until next time!

These Days

In the past two days, I have written a ridiculous number of blog posts.  Maybe it's because I skipped a few days before then and felt like I had to make up for it, but really I think it's because my entries have been so suckish and lacking in oomph, that I want to try again and again until I work it.  Pictures might help that.  Ummm... I can't think of a good picture yet, but I'll put one up in a little.

New on tv tonight, actually ended 3 minutes ago, 90210: The New Class, but still with Kelly and today Donna.  Also, I missed last week, so I rewatched it right before this episode and seriously whoa, like WHOA.  Needs the capitalization because these episodes were insane and AWESOME.

Silver had a crazy break down a few weeks ago and last week's episode had her spiral out of control.  This week she is trying to recuperate and it was sad for her.  I still hate Annie and whatever, but she didn't annoy me that much this week, which is always good.

But seriously, I have read like 3 of Diablo Cody's columns in Entertainment Weekly, talking about her upcoming stint on 90210.  And she rocked it.  Gah it was so fantastic, with Silver freaking out about meeting her, and Diablo acting so chill.  I mean, I know that my older sister, the hippest chick around, thinks Diablo sucks, but her column is awesome
and I think that if I enjoy her writing, I probably enjoy her. Not sexually.  That sounded like sexually.

Oh also I am OBSESSED with Adrianna.  I think she is the most gorgeous girl ever, now that she grew out her bangs.  Maybe I just like her because the actress, Jessica Lowndes, was on Greek, but I think it's because her character is so killer.  She is like totally self aware and ironic.  Lately I am very into people being self aware. They can be the most annoying person ever, but if they know it, than they are fine by me. Except for that beardy kid in my Western Civ class.  I can't stand him, even if he does realize he is crazy annoying.

So I know that people are hesitant to watch the new 90210, and I also know that it was sort of lame in the beginning, but it has definitely found its groove.  I'm gonna have to recommend.

Late Greekap

I had to rewatch the episode because it really didn't stick in my mind.  It was purely average. Little bits were good, but the whole of it was pretty boring.  But why focus on the boring for now?  I'm gonna go over the good bits and show my solidarity to Greek

Exhibit A: Rusty is taking an art history class with Dale and Calvin.  It's pretty cute that they are all in a class together, even though Dale seems to think that liberal arts will lead to Satanism.  But then the professor shows a picture of a nude woman and Dale gets all giggly.  Every line Dale said in the episode was pretty much phenom.  He made a joke about a girl named Jenna having the last name Telia.  And then giggled some more. He later proceded to look up girls named Jenna Telia.  He kept up his fascination with his first image of sexuality spectacularly well throughout the episode.

Also in the heathen class is Rusty's new crush (just a regular crush, not like Casey's Janeane Garafolo girlcrush) Jordan.  I love her.  She is superpretty, but not intimidating, smart but not dorky, and crazy nice.  She also seems to genuinely like Rusty.  She had this line where she asked Rusty if he was gonna ask her out, which was totally his in, but he wimped out.  It was lame.  I have been trying to figure out who she looks like, and I just keep getting Ashlee Simpson, but I know I can do better than that.  Anyway, Ashleigh offered her a bid to ZBZ and that's cute.  But yeah she made out with JMac and we know it stirred up all this drama.

Oh yes, Rusty decided to take a bunch of jello shots to up his confidence before hitting on the girl.  His mouth got all red, like little kids drinking fruit punch.

Jump to another area.  Well sort of reverse, because I forgot about something else with the art history class.  The professor got all hot and restless during his discussion of the sex-infused art.

Ashleigh wore these purple pants I didn't like.  They were unflattering.  Max was kinda boring.  He and Casey finally said "i love you", which I assumed happened months ago. The Max/Cappie rivalry isn't that interesting to me.  Mostly because Casey and Cappie actually seem to be sexual tension free, making the rivalry completely irrelevant.

The new guy working for ZBZ is fine, but he isn't as hot as the girls make it seem.  He is supposed to be like the hottest guy ever.  But we have seen much better.

Oh it totally made me laugh that they all kept saying douche.  Speaking of, Evan finally did something.  Apparently he is sleeping around on Frannie.  Good, he was completely boring.  He was also in two scenes in the entire episode.  Frannie wasn't in any.  These things happen.

I had all these other awesome realizations about the epi, but I forgot, so I'll leave it at this.  Ta ta!

Randomosity

Normally, I write a title before I write my post, and write an entry that corresponds to the theme I mention in the title.  But I have no idea what I'm going to write about, so as of now, the title is still blank.

It's Monday night and there was a new Greek and as always, it was great, but I was playing solitaire during it (just regular solitaire), so I didn't give it my normal amount of attention.

There was also a new How I Met Your Mother (no Gossip Girl this week), but it wasn't very good and Lily wasn't in the episode, so I don't want to discuss it.  Except to mention that the guy who played a hottie that Casey dated in one episode of Greek was in it, and it was weird, because he dated Robin, who is an adult in my mind, and Casey, who is my age.  I still can't come to terms with the whole "becoming an adult" thing.

Everyone around me is growing up to. Which I guess makes sense, because time exists. Blah, I'm bored with thi sentimental crap. Lately everything I watch uses the word "right" constantly.  Like as a question a la "right?", but moreso as a statement like "I know, right." It's everywhere.  And I use it all the time too, but I can't remember it being so prevelant in the past.  I love how my lingo changes like every couple months without me even realizing.  After last year at school, my accent started to change a little bit too.  My midwestern and Texan friends got me into that.  Drove my fam crazy.

BTW, I just put up a title.  When I wrote it, I was thinking of Kevin's band from The Office, Scrantonicity.  I did this quiz today about fictional bands and Scrantonicity was one of them, which I thought was hilarious.  I thought about switching my facebook music into all fictional musicians

For example:
Pop!, The Shagarattes, Here Comes Treble, and other fictional musical groups

But Miley screwed up the whole notion of fictional music groups with her alter-ego. Hannah Montana completely blurred the lines between reality and fiction, because people became obsessed with her character's music, and therefore loved Miley Cyrus's music.  More to come on Miley later.

Wait for my next Greekap coming tomorrow.  I'm going to rewatch it and make it AWESOME.  Yeah?  Cool.

EL Segundo Greekap: An Escape from Reality Index

My sister Molly, the brilliant writer, tells me that it's not enough to recap an episode. No one wants to read that.  I need to bring up the heat with something new.  But my mind isn't focused enough because The Princess Bride just started on Bravo, and I haven't watched it in months.  Buttercup just ran into the Sicilian and co.

Okay, focus.  I think I'll just try a tricked out recap and come up with my new strategy next week?  Can you all hold out?

This week's
episode of my dear Greek answered a few of my queries.  Where is Gonzo (Franco)?  I sort of missed the answer and the episode isn't online yet, but at least I know that the Kappa Taus noticed their missing brother.

Likewise, the ZBZs noticed their missing sister, Betsy.  Not only did they talk about her, but they brought her back.  I was thrilled. I almost put an exclamation point after "they brought her back." But then I didn't and wasted time writing about my punctuation choice.  I think that Casey tried to make up for forgetting Betsy last week by mentioning her name A LOT and putting her in almost every scene.  She also made a funny about how Betsy drank Rebecca's vodka.  Mwahahah.

Okay, I just took a half hour break from writing this so I can't remember exactly where I was.  But while I was away, I was telling my friend allll about my best parts of this episode.  The parts I couldn't resist texting my sister about immediately after they happened.  Frannie's Titanic brush, bringing about the statement "I miss old Leo," followed by a wistful moment to remember him.  Case, Bex, Ash, we all feel exactly the same.  And Leo, although we love you in The Departed
and a littttle bit in Revolutionary Road, your true teeny bopper fanbase comes from the Titanic/Romeo + Juliet days.

The second textable moment came right after the Pants sketch.  BTdubz Ash, you totally pulled off the America Ferrera look, even if it was more Betty than Carmen. Back to my point.  The rushees fawning over Kostos while Casey is all eh. Casey is crazy about Kostos.  It was genius and exactly the kind of OC-esque self-awareness that I love so much.  On the Pants note, Casey, nobody whines about being Blake Lively. She is frickin Serena! But I too prefer Heidi because she is super-gorg.

Speaking of Heidi, the IKIs looked AMAZING in the Fashion Week gear.  Rebecca and Frannie beasted the supermodel look.  I think they pulled it off better than Casey and Ashleigh could have.  I love Rebecca now.  I'm even okay with her getting back with Cappie.  But I'm sort of mad at him.

Okay yeah, Rusty messed up by telling Andelicious (or something way cooler) about all the KT stuff, but Cappie way overreacted and was a total douche.  Not cool, Cap, not cool.  But I still love the Beaver like crazy.  Plus, I think Jesse McCartney
is getting more lovable, because he was totally precious and am I crazy or did he look almost hot?

I think the least lovable character this week (even moreso than Frannie) was Evan Chambers.  What a tool.  He is like a nonentity on the show, but whenever he is there, he is just sucking.  On the bright side, when he tried to talk to Rusty, they made an unintentional dirty joke that I appreciated. The former lead singer of Dream Street was totally dead-on when he said that Calvin was the only decent guy there.  Because Calvin is awesome. He may be the best guy ever.  He better find a man of his own soon.  But EW spoilers claim that he gets frisky with a closeted roomie.  Can't wait!

Expect a better Greekap next week.  Sorry if this sucked.  But at least the episode doesn't.

Monday, March 30th

The day that I have been waiting for for so long is finally here!  Any guesses?  Any at all? Okay, I can't hold it in any longer.  Third season of Greek starts tonight!!!!!  I CAN'T WAIT.  ABC Fam is having a marathon all day beforehand, but I have been marathoning all year and now all I want is this new episode.  Introducing Jesse McCartney, awkwarding Rusty, renewing Cappie's eternal love for Casey.  It's gonna be amaaazing. Now, I know that most people don't watch Greek, but since I'm obviously obsessed, I have to share my joy with anyone who will listen (read?).

Also, I want to point out that I finally got my first comment from someone that I don't know.  SCORE!

Yo, Kostos

I just watched Grey's Anatomy from Thursday.  I know that I have complained about this season and last season Grey's but I obviously still watch it, because how else will I know what fatal illness Izzie has (p.s. now I know)?  Well, in walks a family of three siblings. Totally precious, being one of three.  Well, the younger sister was on two of my shows. Like my ultimate shows.  She played Ted's screw up sister on How I Met Your Mother and the bartender who was obsessed with Rusty's fake ID on Greek (two more weeks!!).  So yeah, she was the younger sister.  The older sister was a stranger, who looked vaguely familiar, but I don't care that much.  And the brother, ah the brother.  My dearest, darling Kostos.  He is just taking over my life. I love that he is taking over my life, because although I'm weirdly not attracted to him, not unattracted, just not attracted, I really love him.  All that's left for him is to venture into Juddland and he will be everywhere that I love.  Well, he could also hit up Camp Ramah b'Poconos or the Nederlander or Taste of Thai, but for now, he is all set.  Say hi to Clark Duke and Patrick Dempsey for me!

Kostos is the Mostos

Ever since Kostos first appeared as the dorkwad stud on Greek, I have seen him everywhere I turn (every channel I turn to really.  It's not like I bump into him at the gym, like I do Mike Lohan Jr).  He was on Swingtown.  And um, he was in Pants 2.  I can't think of anything else, but I'm sure there were more.

Anyway, I just read on EW.com that Ashlee Simpson, new hair, new face, newly thinned after pregnancy body, is joining the cast of new Melrose Place, which includes Michael Rady, who after my multiple sightings, I have found out is Kostos' real name.  I'm still going to call him Kostos.

This new job for Kostos means that he and Casey have got to be kaput.  I have never used the term kaput.  I think I will return to over.  This new job for Kostos means that he and Casey have got to be over.  I liked them together, but we all know it's about the Case/Cap love.  I shall miss you Max.  Now go impregnate Ashlee Simpson.

P.S. If you imdb search Michael Rady, the first thing that pops up is character: Michael Brady.

FINALLY

It's finnnnnally March, which means that my tv shows are all coming back, including GREEK.  I can't wait!!!  Gossip Girl and 90210 and How I Met Your Mother and whatever else I watch are coming back too, but I'm obviously most excited for Greek.  Will Rebecca stay with ZBZ or go with Frannie? (my guess is ZBZ, she has this weird allegiance to it)  Will Casey ever get back together with Cappie or will she stay with Kostos forever?  Will Kara McGrath watch this season or is she too good for ABCFam?  And what's the deal with the new guy, Jesse McCartney?  Kappa Tau or Omega Chi?  Apparently he is going to be Calvin's friend from high school, so he will probably go to Kappa Tau, to mix things up.  Calvin supposedly has a new love interest. Nice!  As do Rusty and Ashleigh.  Good for them.  No more Travises or Jen Ks.  Gah I love this show. March 30th, can't wait!

TheRealSandyFink

I can never sleep at night anymore because of the constant naps.  And instead of being productive during my sleepless nights, I troll youtube looking for more videos that will make me as happy as "Kittens Inspired by Kittens" or the promo for the next season of Greek (my god I talk about that show a lot).  My favorite feature is the section of videos recommended for me, because by this point it knows that I love Vanessa Anne Hudgens, Scrubs, and Charmin toilet paper.

While I was watching Kate Winslet's Golden Globes acceptence speech part II, I saw a recommended video that I knew would make me happy.  It was posted by TheRealDemiLovato and was a video of Selena and Demi playing pretend instruments on Barney.  I KNOW.  So Selena was obviously adorable since she is maybe the cutest girl alive, but poor Demi.  The awkward chubster with glasses.  And I know that some people think she is ugly now (hem hem Emma), but she is sort of beautiful when compared to childhood her.

So I decided to check out the rest of TheRealDemiLovato's (and SelGomez's) videos so I could see how nicely they matured and to admire their precious friendship and I saw some fab things.  In one, they danced around to "We Rock" from Camp Rock.  In one they tried to model, but Demi's mom got in the way.  And in my personal favorite, Demi decided to introduce the world to her little sister, Madison.  She should be adorable.  But she is not.  Instead she is an overweight, obnoxious girl who is missing her two front teeth.  Whom I know.  Because she plays Gabrielle and Carlos' older daughter, Juanita Solis, on Desperate Housewives.  In this video she kept trying to take over the camera and say "peace" in a ghettofab voice.  I'm sorry, Madinita, but you are totally not ghettofab.  But your sister is cute.

Later!

Nothing but a T-shirt on

A plain white t to be specific.  I had trouble trying to choose between Jessica Simpson or the Delilah band that frequents my favorite show, and ultimately I went with J.Simp. But still felt the need to discuss both right here.  Lame.

Well, whether the under the label of the belted chubster or the talented, but ugly band, I still want to talk about white t-shirts.

I am wearing one right now.  Not sure if it's Hanes or Fruit of the Loom (but really who cares, that was a pointless statement).  But no matter what, I will call them my Hanes white ts, just because it's got that flow.  Nothing matters but the flow.  And the practicality.  Remember the time you went to Israel or on a hiking trip and got disgusting and sweaty all the time.  Ah, it was beautiful.  And white t-shirts were perfect, because they are cheap, comfortable, sold in mass, and don't show off sweatstains.

I always feel so badly for those girls at the gym (or Miranda on SATC) that wear gray and are nothing but one huge sweat stain.  That is why after my multiple hiking excursions, I have converted fully to Hanes white ts for workout gear.  And my strechy black pants.  Sometimes.  I'm wearing them right now.  In preparation for going to the gym.  But I am stalling by writing a blogtry about workout clothing.

For some reason all of my white ts have green stains on them.  Looks more like mouthwash than sweat.  No idea.

In conclusion,  white t shirts are good.  So is Greek.

It Goes There Too

Angela Anaconda, Big Wolf on Campus, even Full House, none of them went there, back in the early days of ABC Family, back when it was still called Fox Family.  No, those shows were sweet little stories without a sexual bone in their recipes.

Well guys, the times have changed.

ABC Family has morphed.  I can't decide yet if it's good or bad.  Is it assuming that little kids are corrupt beings, totally turned on by sex and alc?  Or is it assuming that the pre-teens that loved ABC Fam so long ago have grown up and now want some action? The whole system is a little confused, because each show caters to a slightly different market.

Take Kyle XY, for example.  I have never seen it.  So I don't want to discuss it.  Moving on.

There is Greek, for one.  Which is awesome.  I don't even to attempt to deny how much I crazy love it.  It brings it.  Like Torrance.  It's got the comedy, sex, pop culture references, and typico college lifestyle that I love to watch so much.  Really, it's a show made for me.  And maybe some people similar to me.

And then there is The Secret Life of the American Teenager.  Truthfully, I am writing this whole weird, long entry just so that I can discuss this show.  I just don't know what to make of it, or what it's aiming for.  Does it want to shock viewers?  Does it want to give an accurate portrayel of high schoolers?  I mean, even the title seems questionable.  It looks like a wannabe life time movie that should be really good, just to say booyah to all of the people doubting it.  But no, no booyahing yet.

But for some reason, I watch it.  I like slutty, smart Adrian.  And I could keep listing all of the characters, to prove that I know their names, but she is the only one that I like. The rest suck.  They have zero likeable traits and their plotlines are dumb and dragging and completely uncompelling.  Ugh, Boyfriend Ben Boykovitch is the worst. All "I love you"s and "I will raise your babies."  He is just so pathetic I could vom every time he comes on screen.  And his love, the main character, Amy, is nearly as lame as him.  Pretty much because she has no character or personality.  Although she was the original Kaitlyn Cooper on The O.C., before Kaitlyn got superhot and GG worthy.

Why am I still watching this travesty of a show?  I'll tell you why.  So that I am informed enough of it, so that I can discuss it with my friends and followers.  The end.
